You know you can save money by making your own coffee at home, but how about those convenient bottle coffees? You can make those grab-and-go versions, too! Making coffee at home costs a fraction of hitting the coffee shop. But bottled coffee is even more expensive. When you make your own bottled coffee, you also have control over all aspects of your drink. Prefer less milk or a milk substitute? You can do that. Like more sugar or another type of sweetener? You can do that, too. Do you like flavored coffee? There are countless syrups you can add to make the flavor you desire. But why should you make your own bottled coffee in advance? Well, for the convenience, of course. Buying a bottled coffee is all about ease of use. Heading out the door and running to the convenience store before hitting the road just to get an overpriced bottle of coffee not only costs more, it also takes extra time and the options aren't always what you wanted. Instead, invest in a dozen coffee bottles, or use mason jars instead, and enjoy grab-and-go convenience in your own refrigerator. Iced Coffee or Cold Brew? When you make your own bottled coffee, should you make iced coffee or cold brew? The short answer is sure! Or make an iced cappuccino or an iced latte. Or you could replace the coffee with tea. You could make it decaf if you prefer. The sky is the limit. When you make your own, there aren't any hard or fast rules. Use one of our signature, full-flavored Iced Coffee Blends, one of our delightful Cold Brew Blends, or any of our mouthwatering blends. These coffees are great choices for any coffee, hot or cold. If you prefer a single-origin, we have plenty to choose from and any would make a great base for your bottled coffee. Organic is important to you? Choose any of our certified organic coffees and use all organic sweeteners and creamers. You can customize your own bottled coffee to your heart's content. You could even use one of our savory espresso coffee blends. Use your espresso as the base for a chilled latte or make your own frappuccino. You could even use one of our teas. Try our Chai, our Earl Grey, or any of our black, green, oolong, or herbal teas. What Creamer and Sweetener Should You Choose? When it comes to customizing your bottled coffee, you can use whatever you like. Here are a few ideas: Half and Half 2% Milk Skim Milk Soy Milk Almond Milk Oat Milk Flavored Creamer Sugar (Simple Syrup) Flavored Syrups  What Bottles Should You Use? Stuck on what bottle to use? Again, it's entirely up to you. You can choose to use the traditional bottles most bottled coffee comes in. You can find them on or at a specialty restaurant store. If you want something a little different, try a swing-top bottle instead. For the best price and for something a little on the rustic side, try mason-type jars. You can even find tops with straws for these drinking vessels. Just make sure whatever bottle you choose can be washed in the dishwasher or, if you decide to wash them by hand, you have a bottle brush to make getting to the bottom corners easier. How Should You Make Your Bottled Coffee? Like we mentioned above, this is all up to you. You have full control over your bottled coffee, the strength, the amount of sugar, the amount of milk, the flavors you want this is all entirely up to you. Before you get started, make sure your bottles are clean and dry. Brew your coffee to the strength you prefer, but because these aren't iced coffees, it is not necessary to make them at a higher strength unless you want to. You can brew your coffee using whatever method you wish--drip, French press, espresso, cold brew--and let it come to room temperature. Add your coffee to your bottles. Be sure to leave enough room for your add-ins. For your sugar, you might wish to make a simple syrup to ensure it is incorporated completely. Once your bottles are filled, top them and put them in your refrigerator Easy Bottled Coffee Recipe To your 12-ounce bottle, add 2 shots of espresso (2 ounces) 1 to 2 pumps of sweetener (1 to 2 ounces) Fill with creamer (8 ounces) Enjoy!.
