Rice with Sausage, Onion, Ketchup and Sunny-Side-Up Egg

This is an adaptation of Japanese <i>omu-raisu</i> ("omelet-rice"), a hundred twenty years old classic "Japanized" dish borrowed from Western cuisine. The cooked rice, which is stir-fried with chicken, then flavored with ketchup (yes, ketchup), is wrapped in fluffy French- style omelet. In this version the rice is served with a sunny-side-up egg.
