The best way to clean your house is by decluttering first. Cleaning doesn’t really matter if you still have a bunch of junk that you won’t get rid of. So, before you really start cleaning, get rid of some stuff! A great tip for keeping your house clean is to make sure that everything has a place to stay. Don’t just throw your shoes or coats on the ground. Designate a place for your things to go, and then make sure they get there! An awesome way to keep your house clean is to make sure the mess doesn’t get passed the front door. Invest in a heavy duty entry mat that will catch all the dirt, debris, and mud so it doesn’t have a chance to get inside. You should also implement some sort of entryway organizer, as well. It could just be a hook on the wall (for hanging coats and backpacks) or a full-out entryway locker. Do what you think Is needed for your home. Use your time wisely by doubling up on your chores. For example, run the dishwasher when you’re sweeping, or do a load of laundry while cleaning the bathroom. This will cut down on your overall cleaning time. One of the biggest clutters in your home is probably the paper clutter. Whether that’s bills, receipts, paperwork, etc., the paper clutter can be a disaster. Get things organized by scanning and saving the documents, and then shredding and recycling the paper copies. Don’t take the burden of cleaning onto your shoulders by yourself. Assign tasks to each family member (or roommate). This keeps things clean but doesn’t wear you out. The whole family can help and this will make your home more presentable. If you make a mess, then clean it up right away. This will absorb/eliminate odors so they don’t stink up your house. Additionally, put newspaper at the bottom of your kitchen garbage bag so any juices or liquids get absorbed. When cleaning your microwave, this is a great idea. Fill a bowl with vinegar and run it in the microwave for a bit. When you go to clean the gunk in your microwave, it’ll wipe right off!
