** View LARGE On Black ** • • -->> ..was obsessing for several hours on what the f♥ck that Baggies Reptile's name is. I really coulda sworn he had a name.. really i thought he had a freekin' name !! ..but it does appear his name is simply "The Baggies Alligator". ..Guess i was hopin' upon hope..that he had a much more cleaver name like Baggagator or Lockodile.. (yeh i'm shootin' pretty low here..but only a freek would obsess over the Baggies Alligator.) On my goofy little quest.. i did learn something i didn't know. There is a reason that the Alligator is the mascot. It appears in the 1970s Baggies were marketed boasting their 'Alligator skin' texture. I suppose this helped keep food items extra fresh, crisp , and the bags were tough. I guess. In some markets now they appear to be under the banner of Ziplock Baggies or Hefty Baggies Sandwich and Storage Bags.. both brand headers are owned by the Pactive Corporation ..and for some reason the "Baggies" brand was absorbed into those lines of plastic products. So my little Alligator friend doesn't have a cool name.. ((unless i am proven wrong)). O well. One of my old bosses when i used to work at the multimedia center years back used to call the twist-ties "Tie-Baggies" ..his ma used to buy the 'Twist-Tie' baggies..so all the little annoying wrapper fasteners she called :: "Tie-Baggies" .. i seemed to have adopted this .. i sometimes will call the "Twist-Ties".. "Tie-Baggies" ..which is a much cooler name that "Baggies Alligator" .. There was a line of large " Baggies Alligator Bags" it is the first time i've ever seen this character animated..:: **Click here.. ..(P'shaw.. n' they said i couldn't learn nothin' offa You Tube.. .. ok..nothing important.. but still .) .. Well i hate his name.. but i really love the cute little Alligator .. Sadly nowadays .. Baggies are far to small to put over my head anymore. Guess i'll have to play with those awful Kroger bags from now on. .. >v<
