Made in Japan Vintage: circa 1950's  Details:   These vintage salt and pepper shakers are so unique, delicate and beautiful, we almost didn't put them up for sale (but we have too much stuff!).   These are high quality, glazed porcelain with lots of details, not easy to find!.  They look a lot like the traditional Chia.
Made in Japan Vintage: circa 1950's  Details:   These vintage salt and pepper shakers are so unique, delicate and beautiful, we almost didn't put them up for sale (but we have too much stuff!).   These are high quality, glazed porcelain with lots of details, not easy to find!.  They look a lot like the traditional Chianti bottles that come with the straw baskets.  Everything is adorned with tiny raised, hand applied, porcelain pink roses and green leaves.  The colors are soft pinks, browns and greens with wonderful gold accents.  Incredibly, they still had their original cork stoppers, not plastic or rubber, that tells us these are very old.  However, during cleaning one of the corks just dissolved in our hands, so we created a replacement from our cork collection.  The identifying label is long gone and we couldn't find others for comparison.  This set would make a terrific hostess gift.  It's perfect for a shabby chic, country, traditional or Victorian style kitchen.   Beautiful on a table for a girl's birthday, Mother's Day, Tea Party or Spring/Summer setting. Material:  Ceramic Dimensions:  Shakers are each: 3.25 inches Tall, and 1.75 inches Wide (at the widest point).   Basket is: 4 1/8 inches Wide and 4 inches Tall Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Excellent Condition.  There are no chips, scratches or any other imperfections on either of these pieces.   Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are used items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.
