Vintage 1950s NEW-NEL Blitzhacker Automatic 4-way Rotary Chef Food

Long before there was Pampered Chef, there was New-Nel Kitchen Products Company during the 1950s. This nifty device was patented February of 1957 (Patent Number 2,782,826). During that time, the ground breaking vegetable device was quite popular. Ive posted a photo of an advertisement listed in The Billboard publication dated July 27, 1959. They were sold in 4 colors: clear, red, green and yellow and sold for $2 a piece. This particular model is red and comes in its original box. It stands approximately 9 inches tall. There is wear to the box in addition to clear packing tape adhered. The apparatus is used and abrasions may be found on the hard plastic. I did note a large chip missing from the screw portion of the housing, but it is still able to secure snuggly over the blades. I have cleaned the piece to the best of my abilities without chopping my own fingers off. It is in good overall condition. Great addition to your mid-century modern or rockabilly style kitchen.
